I had no idea when I was reading this comic three weeks ago, that such a movie actually existed (*see Mega Shark vs Giant Octopus). That is until I visited my nearby Lackluster Video and saw it for sale amongst the ‘previously viewed’ DVDs. Being a lover of all things monster movie-ish, naturally I had to get it. Even if it does star “Call me Deborah” Gibson and Lorenzo “ponytail grease” Lamas (~sigh…once upon a time folks…SO hot). Plus, Debbie Gibson drops the ‘F’ bomb. Nice.

Kirk, I watched a movie in the wee hours the other night and wondered if you have ever seen it. If not, I hope you will be able to see it someday and let me know what you think of it. It’s from 1932, and called “Freaks”. I do know it is on Netflix but I watched it on Turner Classic Movies. It is considered a horror film but since the censors cut out about 40 minutes from the original movie, the really horrific stuff isn’t there anymore I don’t think. You can read about it on wikipedia or imdb. I didn’t get to see the very beginning of it so I just added it to my Netflix queue so I can see it again.
