My Halloween costume party went off without a hitch. Well, a few hitches…I forgot to ‘mold’ my Mr. Hyde teeth, so I was sans teeth and the wig I bought would NOT cooperate, so I went sans wig. Everyone dressed up (well, 98%) and they were all so creative! From left to right, we have: Back Row: An alien, a rockin’ sunflower (in pot), a safari man, a matador, a crash test dummy, Tangina (from Poltergeist), a vampiress, Kermit the Frog. First Row: Mister Hyde, my friend Marie, Regan (from The Exorcist) and Super Nerd. The only one missing is Max (from Where the Wild Things Are). Please forgive the picture quality. I couldn’t locate my camera (naturally) and was using a friend’s camera and should probably have used a flash. C’est la vie.
My big surprise for the evening was that I’d hired a psychic/Tarot card reader/fortune teller, what have you, to come to the party and read fortunes. My choice was Tarot, but she ended up doin’ her psychic schtick instead, which was okay, but personally I’d rather she’d done Tarot for me. I was so busy thinking about being a good host that I didn’t really take the time to have her do it. I was more concerned that everyone had their chance to have a ‘session’ with her (and everyone did). It added a lot of excitement to the party and I think people really got a kick out of it.
I’ll share with you (what I remember) that she told me. Some was interesting, some sounded like generic meanderings. More about that tomorrow. Be ready with your password, because it’ll be a password-protected post. Gee, can you guess why?

I love the picture! I LOVE your costume and contacts! Too cool!!! Everyone looks great (esp. that Tangina). I’m thinking, based on my costume, it will be an easy transition for me once my boobs completely drop LOL
And the glasses will hide my shame

I was so bummed out all saturday night when I was with my dad in Houston (I hope you got my text I sent you on friday….eek!). We already had our costumes and everything – Josh was going to be Willy Nelson (braids, beard and all…) and I was going to be either Loretta Lynn or go back to halloween store and buy a big fake chest and be Dolly! haha again sorry we couldn’t make it…suzz told me it was a blast!

Arthur is obsessed with Spiderman and he informed me that little brother needed to be Superman. Not my first choice, but they do look pretty darn cute in their costume. And Arthur is developing a love for Halloween. Yippee! It is such an awesome holiday.
