When I was growing up (circa ’83-’89), I was a a total Swatch watch FIEND. I couldn’t get enough of them. I loved the colors, the themes, their advertising, the accessories (tote bags, clocks, clothing, etc.). You name it, I loved it. I remember owning ONE Swatch sweatshirt and 2 Swatch tote bags (which I still have). Naturally, I had at least a dozen of the watches as well. I still have them all, and wear them!

Anyway, twenty odd years later, I STILL love Swatch. You don’t hear much about them anymore, but they’ve still got it: great design, packaging, etc. Waxing nostlgic, I decided to go online and see what I could find and man did I find it! Here’s some of the Swatches I just purchased (all NEW!), as well as some assorted Swatch Guards and additional bands. *sigh* Can’t get enough. Thankfully, they are still affordable, so I don’t feel a twinge of guilt.

I LOVE Jay Otto’s illustration style and have for a long time. I fondly remember when he was commissioned to do the ‘Ready, Sit, Read’ program/kid’s meal tie-in (cups/food containers) for Target. I still have my cup somewhere around here. He designed another Swatch and I’m currently contemplating (who am I kidding?) buying it as well. Cute, cute stuff.
