Call it a case of arrested development or whatever, but I’m one of those people who still enjoys “coloring.” I always have. Though these days I prefer using colored pencils (we used to call them ‘map pencils’…crazeh!). I also prefer the coloring books for grown ups (in other words, the paper is better quality and the images are more artistic). I also love the ‘stained glass’ coloring books (if you haven’t seen them, they are very cool!). I’ve been coloring lately because it helps me relax. My current favorites are: Monsters- Stained Glass (93¢), Alice in Wonderland- Stained Glass (35¢), Classic Movie Posters ($3) and Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland ($2).
So, being on a coloring kick, I thought I would share some of my childhood coloring books (I have quite an extensive collection). Enjoy!

I remember seeing it multiple times at the theater, owning the 45/book combo (SEE the pictures/HEAR the record/READ the book) in addition to several other coloring & activity books. And I fondly remembering singing ‘Best of Friends’ (sung by ‘Big Mama’ AKA Pearl Bailey). Looovvveeed it! Totally jealous that you had the lunchbox!
