Baby, It’s Predictable Outside
Made the mistake of including this title in my 3 for $20 purchase at Lackluster, only because of my love for all things Vince Vaughn. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I feel like such a DRAMATIC talent has been thrown under the bus, in the name of a quick paycheck and a cheap laugh. Remember when he used to do great dramatic stuff, like The Locusts, Return to Paradise and Domestic Disturbance? Then Old School was a runaway hit and it just snowballed from there. That’s not to say I didn’t enjoy some of them (Swingers, Dodgeball, Wedding Crashers, etc.); they were enjoyable, but really, you want your entire body of work to be summed up by ball jokes and double takes?
