Well, it’s that time of year again. Yep, it’s the 7th annual Christmas Card List. If you’d like to receive a Christmas card from me, just e-mail me with your mailing address and I will get one out to you ASAP! Be sure and put “Christmas Card” as the subject of your e-mail. Merry Christmas!

Before I get too far along with this post, let me preface by saying this: Yes, I know there’s a thing referred to as SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder…hell, it doesn’t have to be Christmastime for me to exhibit half those symptoms. LOL!), but I personally don’t think that’s relevant in this case, but then again, a friend noticed a few years ago that I get kinda blue around this time of year, so maybe I’m in denial. All I know is that I love the colder, darker, gloomier weather associated with winter, so I don’t feel like that’s a factor. (more…)

Judy Moody and The Not Bummer Summer- I was looking to rent something fluffy and mindless and this fit the bill. I’ve since read lots of negative reviews over at IMDB, which as you know, doesn’t mean shit to me. *I* thought it was colorful, fun and looked as if your favorite childhood book had come to life (think Harriet The Spy meets Ramona). We’re all trained to power down our smartphones and leave our iPads in the car when we enter the theater. It’s common courtesy to the performers and the other patrons to not distract them with the chime of a new text message or by tapping wildly on our keypads during the show.
However, there are a handful of theaters and organizations who have decided to embrace the smartphone addicts of the world and create “tweet seats” – sections of seating encouraging the use of Twitter to discuss the show.
Surprisingly, it’s not movie theaters that are paving the way for a connected, interactive experience: it’s the more classical live theater and opera houses. (more…)

I love this song so much. I was unable to find it on iTunes, but I found it here and downloaded it for FREE, believe it or not!
People never cease to amaze me…but not in a good way. As time goes on, I’m surrounded by more and more idiots. Some of it I can excuse, simply because nobody’s perfect. We all have lapses in judgement from time to time, but more often than not, I find myself in the presence of honest to goodness morons. I can’t document them all, but here are a few recent ones that I can recall. Enjoy.
Scene: Customers coming into the store- Me (chipper as fuck): Hi! How are ya’ll doin’ today? Woman: We’re blessed. *insert migraine-inducing eyeroll from yours truly* (more…)
